Pam McLaughlin successfully transitioned from a 20-year career in commercial real estate to owner of a successful tea store. Her experience, educational background in businesses, passion, and dedication made her not only a success, but also an informative speaker on the topics of women in business, entrepreneurship, and starting a small business.
Teaching Tea History
Pam has immersed herself in the history, creation, uses of, and everything having to do with tea. Pam’s sheer love of tea makes her a dynamic and sought-after speaker and teacher on the topic. She has taught tea history classes for Philadelphia Community College, Montgomery County Community College, Abington Art Center, The Woodmere Art Museum, and The Mount Airy Learning Tree.

Meet Pam McLaughlin
Pam McLaughlin left her long-time corporate career in 2008 to pursue her passion of specialty tea and its extraordinary health benefits. She started by opening The Hill Tea Bar in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, her hometown since 1996. The following year, she published a tea cookbook, “Tea Fusions For Real Life From The Hill Tea Bar,” which is available for purchase under tea products.
At the end of 2009, Pam transitioned The Hill Tea Bar to an exclusively online company to provide quality tea to a wider audience.
Pam holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and tea certification from the Tea Association of the USA. She is currently working on her PhD in business marketing.
